We all remember Hickory Dickory Dock, but did you know that wrote the rest of the story? Well they sure did! Now let's all join and enjoy the sweet, sweet pleasure of telling time! Rachel & Sam Read a Story is about the fun of reading children's books, and also about how little sense these books make when you read them 20 years later. We read the books aloud and make fun of them while we do. Enjoy! |

I picked up Farm Flu at the library. It's a silly little story about when an infestation breaks out at our food source. What fun! We read the books aloud and make fun of them while we do. Enjoy! |

Put Me in the Zoo is one of those books that I think we all read as a kid. It's silly, magical, and wonderful. Sure, it doesn't make any sense and there are demon children, but at least it's fun! Plus, counting! And colors! Hooray! (We love this book.) Rachel & Sam Read a Story is about the fun of reading children's books, and also about how little sense these books make when you read them 20 years later. We read the books aloud and make fun of them while we do. Enjoy! |

Joined again by Samantha Chott, we read The Silly Knight by David Pascal. This is an old book. It came out in 1967 with only one printing. It's got a good message, that it's okay to be different, but for whatever reason it never took off. Samantha found it and brought it to share with us. Let's judge it! We are joined by Samantha Chott as we read this classic duck tale! (See what I did there?) It's a fun story about over-reaction and extrememly faulty plumbing. Isn't that what we all want in a story? (yes) Rachel & Sam Read a Story is about the fun of reading children's books, and also about how little sense these books make when you read them 20 years later.
